We would like to share two of many success stories with you:
1. Thandi Nelani, married with three children.
Thandi finished the course in 2002 and was placed in with employers in 2003. She fell pregnant with twins. Her husband was working in the police force, and he bought a house to start a “shebeen”. Thandi convinced him to rather start a school for small children and she opens the school in 2009. End of 2011 she had 65 small children and 5 assistants. She also qualified for governmental support.
2. Oscarina Rala-Rala has two children.
She completed the course in November 2002 and was employed by doctors in July 2006 where she is still working. In 2007 she applied at UNISA to study for Social worker. She did her practical work last year during her annual leave.
We strive not only to support students in their endeavours to find jobs, but also to build healthy, happy, long-term employee-employer relationships.
We think it is also appropriate to let you know what employers of our students have to say:
She cleaned the house, looked after the children, made sure the the household was stocked up on all essential items, did some of my shopping, looked after the animals and kept our house in perfect order. She can also cook well and often made our dinner following any recipe I gave her.
Thandi is very intelligent so grasped what needed to happen very quickly and could generally just get on with things which I appreciated greatly as I have a very busy job. She is 100% trustworthy and has never given us any reason not to trust her. She is extremely loving and kind to children and animals. She cleans thoroughly and once she has ordered everything she knows exactly where things are at all times.
She has a quiet disposition. She uses her initiative to manage the household effectively and is reliable and honest.
